the skeleton list for 2011-12

Yes, this is about as sparse as it comes, folks, but I wanted to at least give a heads up to what this family was going to be doing!  We have been doing more traveling lately, with this weekend carrying us back to our folks’ for Father’s Day…which meant no time to add all my links and ramblings!
So here is the Super Skimpy List:
If we are going by state standards, I will have a Nursery, Pre-K, 2nd, and 5th grade set come September.  (This post is super-fast in being put together, so late summer will bring a longer plan…)
But we aren’t going by state standards all the way around, now are we? Smile
Mr. HR will be be a brand-spankin’ new 5, and definitely NOT ready academic rigor.  I am going light and easy, following his lead and mostly keeping him active-in a good way.  THAT will be keep ME busy!   To give me a guide, I am using my friend Lecia’s copy of My Father’s World Kindergarten.
EK and I will be following Ambleside Online’s Year 2 and MG will be following Year 5.
Math for the big girls is currently Horizon, with MG getting into Life of Fred: Fractions as some point.
EK is using Delightful Reading from Simply Charlotte Mason for learning to read.
EK and HR are using Queen’s Language Lessons for some varied language lessons, and MG?  Well, I have about three different things, none of which I can decide!
I have Drawing with Children for some drawing lesson-work, and together we are going to do some early American history.
How’s that for fast?

Smile
See what others are doing this fall at . . .
