2013 Knitting Plans

IMG_20120504_171555I love knitting.  I love handmade gifts.  I love special occasions.  I do not love knitting handmade gifts very close to special occasions.

I have a small stash.  I have put myself on a No-to-Low-spend diet.

What’s a girl to do?

At the end of December, I saw a gal on Ravelry who made a plan for gift-knitting that I really liked.  I thought about it and decided I’d like to do something similar.

My basic plan has 2 parts: (1) I will knit from my stash until it' is run out, and (2) for every 3 items I make for myself, I will knit a gift to add to the Gift Box.

I don’t have a huge stash pile, mostly single skeins of fingering weight yarn.  I have 2 sweaters that will be frogged for new projects: a sweater from Goodwill in a soft gray that I intend to frog and turn into a cardigan for me, and orange Berroco Vintage that is presently Eggnog.

I also have a SA-WEET gift card for Knit Picks from B’s parents but I can’t decide if I should use it towards a ball winder (the swift will definitely have to wait) or yarn……WWYD?  (What would you do?)

Below is my KP2013 List! (Knits Planned for 2013)
